The scene started with me and Nick Mitchell in the middle of our training. Nick was pushing me to my limit as he wants me to endure as many strikes from him as I can but every ten strikes, he hits me; I could block or counter only once. After the ninth strike has struck, Nick's attempt to go for a high kick, and I saw it coming as I grab the leg that is going to kick my head and then proceed to go for a captured suplex and both of us are down. Nick afterwards proceeds to give a short break as I took a water bottle out of my bag and drink a few sips as Nick start to speak.
Nick Mitchell: “I’ve got to say even though you got hit a lot by my strikes, you managed to hold on until you find an opening for you to strike.”
He then takes a deep breath as before continue to say anything else, and once he’s has done breathing deeply, he continues to speak.
Nick Mitchell: “Right now about your match with Tank Washington, both of you are going to be in the steel cage and the only way to win is by submission. The atmosphere that you’re going to be in is going to be close like an MMA fight as you can imagine. Both of you have nowhere to run or hide but unlike MMA fight, the ring is a four-sided ring and not the octagon ring.”
He then sits down on a chair and continues to talk as I pay close attention to what he has to say.
Nick Mitchell: “Unlike MMA you can smash your opponent head to the cage like it’s your tag-team partner, As greatly I want to instill you the knowledge about fighting in the cage, I can’t teach you much as the rules of MMA and wrestling are like the opposite attracts, it’s completely different. However, I can teach you on how you can use the cage and its advantages other than using it for smashing their heads on it.”
He then takes a water bottle and opened it to take a few sips before continuing to talk.
Nick Mitchell: “Let’s continue with the training shall we and were this time, I’m going to show you in a lot of ways of how you can take down your opponent off their feet and especially when he is heavy like Tank Washington.”
He then proceeded to show me all the takedowns he could teach me as I afterwards follow the instruction on how to do it. After a few hours of long and hard training, we decide to call it a day After the both of us finish washing up, we then went to the diner near the training ground. We ordered our usual food as Nick starts to ask a couple of questions about my match with Tank Washington.
Nick Mitchell: “What do you think about Tank Washington? Do you think you can handle him?”
Taufik: “Do you actually doubt my ability in a match against Tank? Of course, I’ve got what it takes to beat Tank Washington. It will be a difficult task, but it's a task that I will never back down from. All my life I’ve always been the underdog, and I like to be in that position as I will prove to them that I have what it takes to beat the odd on favorite just like this match.”
The waitress then sends our drink to our table as I take a sip of my Pepsi before continue to talk.
Taufik: “As I was saying, but this time the odds are within my favor. I know that Tank is taller than me and heavier than me, even his buddy Rye says that he’s an unstoppable Tank. I let Rye yap about his partner but when the time we meet up and go at it at Caged Aggression, it will be a whole different story as he will be facing me in the steel cage and in a submission match.”
Nick then put a smile in his face before he talks.
Nick Mitchell: “That’s the thing I want to hear from you. That fire inside you, the will to make someone tap in this match is there, but I don't want that to be the reasons of overconfidence as you make one wrong move, and you lose, trust me, you won’t hear the end of it.”
Taufik: “Thanks for keeping me in check, I admit I was about to be overconfident about it.”
The food then arrives as we start to eat as the scene fade to black.
